First and foremost Kenny, it is imperative for you to start learning about the culture and rich history of the Haitian people.

Your comment about Koudjay has vividly displayed your ignorance as it relates to this topic.

Our musique is not only Kompa, Kompa is only one form of from our rich musical heritage. We have different forms of music for different ocassion- such as RaRa doing carnival, La musique racine for parties, Kompa, for a more lay back types of atmosphere among many others.

Have you heard of Jahnesta?h His style is similar to that of Alpha BLondy from Cote d'Ivoire (the Ivory Coast in Africa incase you have no clue).

His style is more towards the reggae genre with a bids of soukous, zouk, and racine.

I hope you will take the time to study our rich musical history.

Remember that knowledge is power and ignorance is the roots of all distruction.May God Bless, Jeanty
